Spend the first night in the historic Shearers quarters on the Gorringe family farm. The second night is spent at the Green Trout, an equally beautiful setting with spectacular views of the Ruahine ranges. This is an accommodation package that takes the best of our natural scenery and couples it with our unique pioneering history.

Our historic Shearers quarters have been completely renovated to provide the comfort of modern living, whilst retaining the character of early New Zealand.

The Green Trout
The Green Trout offers modern accommodation with breathtaking views of the Kawhatau Valley and Ruahine Ranges.

Both have fully equipped kitchens, electric stoves, microwave, fridge/freezers and coffee plungers.

Pillows, pillow cases and towels provided. Bring your own sleeping bags

Both facilities sleep 10.

Meals Option
All meals can be provided (this includes dinner on arrival on the first night through to lunch on the last day). Lunch and breakfast are supplied on a “self-help” basis.
